As I drove around Kiawah Island Golf Resort I was in awe of how beautiful it was. Not only was it a beautiful little community but the light was just gorgeous all over! I instantly feel in love with this little island. I am dying to go back and shoot another wedding. I had the honor of second shooting this wedding with Genya O’neall.

It’s so humbling to second shoot for other wedding photographers. I feel so grateful to be trusted to serve their clients alongside the main photographer. It’s always fun shooting with Genya. She is such a talented photographer and fun to work with. It’s funny because Colleen (the bride) use to be Genya’s second shooter for many years. It’s fun to shoot another photographer’s wedding.

Kiawah Island has a special kind of magic for Colleen and Brendan. Brendan’s family has been making it their annual vacation spot for years, and once he introduced Colleen to this little slice of paradise, she was hooked too! It didn’t take long before she knew—this was the place where she wanted to say “I do.The weekend was a beautiful celebration surrounded by the love and laughter of their closest friends and family. And can we talk about that floral palette?! I’m obsessed! The pops of color brought so much joy and life to the day—it’s like the flowers were throwing a party of their own.
